We are excited that you have taken interest in Camp Kooch-i-ching and/or Ogichi Daa Kwe.  By visiting our website, we understand that you are looking for more than just a summer camp.  You are seeking an opportunity for your child that offers growth, lifelong community, safety, challenge, adventure and the chance to be fully immersed in a true wilderness setting.

Supported by the Camping and Education Foundation, both Kooch-i-ching and Ogichi Daa Kwe have the ability to offer an intimate experience, making quality of program our number one priority. With our camper to staff ratio for our younger campers ranging from 2:1 to 3:1, we focus on building a strong foundation so our campers can grow from year to year. Each summer brings new challenges, skills, and lessons creating more substance to their overall experience.

Our programs are unique,  offering three distinct elements of our overall program:

1An in-camp program focused on classes, fun and games

2A world class wilderness trips program that teaches appreciation of nature, individual and group collaboration

3Education in the philosophies of the Native American. With over 87 years of Koochiching tradition, and 6 years of creative input from Ogichi Daa Kwe, our programs successfully offer every child a chance to be challenged with the support of an expert staff.

Each summer, Kooch-i-ching and Ogichi Daa Kwe will support campers, staff, alumni and parents from nearly 40 states and 5 countries.  Through the generous giving of our alumni, the Camping and Education Foundation supports 25% of our campers with Financial Aid.
