Owakonze PartnersHIP with Adventure Crew

Adventure Crew is a Cincinnati-based nonprofit with a mission to connect city teens with nature and each other though engaging outdoor adventure. For the last three summers, a group of students, accompanied by staff, embark on a week-long canoe and camping trip at Owakonze. Students unwind, disconnect from the burdens of technology, paddle and portage around Baril Lake, and connect with the beautiful surroundings Owakonze has to offer.

After reading a recent article posted on Adventure Crew’s website, Steve Luebkeman, Owakonze Director, noted the key to this relationship: “In the business world, partnerships rarely work out because company cultures can be so different. Partnering with Adventure Crew is easy. We both keep things simple, provide a fun and challenging experience, and celebrate growth. Being able to use Owakonze to extend Adventure Crew’s impact and our impact is very exciting.”
